PIZZERIA AND restaurant

Thanks to the success of Terún and Italico - our two pizzerias/restaurants in Palo Alto - we decided to open a new place focusing our offer mainly on pizza and focaccia and using only exceptional raw materials to offer an excellent product both in terms of quality and nutritional value.

About the owners
"The success of our restaurants comes from our experience, dedication and passion for food combined with the well-known Italian spirit of warmth and hospitality" - say owners Franco and Maico Campilongo.
Born in southern Italy, the three founders grew up with a natural talent in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Bringing those secrets of Italian cuisine with them to the Bay Area, the authenticity of their food continues to entertain bustling crowds of happy eaters with delectable meals often accompanied by live music.
"We love fresh local ingredients and import only the best raw materials for our pasta, pizzas, and a carefully selected list of Italian wines. We are proud to serve authentic Italian cuisine and we are honored by all the recognition our work has received so far"" - say owner and chef Kristjan D’Angelo.
Kristjan arrived in Italy with a pizza shovel that can still be found in Terún today. He brought it because his goal was to open a pizza place and make the best pizza here in California.
"Dreams are wishes and sometimes they can even come true." Maico Campilongo reminds us. And it is precisely by dreaming together that Maico, Franco and Kristjan offer excellent quality every day, using selected products and flours (those from Petra® Molino Quaglia), thus embracing Italian taste.

Just as Terún and Italico have achieved great successes in these 10 years, we hope that Impasto can follow in the same footsteps.

In Italian, IMPASTO is a mass resulting from the union of flour and water, and a starting point for the preparation of various foods, including bread, pasta, pizza, biscuits, cakes, focaccia and other pastry products. There are many types of IMPASTO depending on the type of flour used, and the addition of other ingredients, such as olive oil, eggs, salt, or sugar, etc. In music, IMPASTO also means a fusion of sounds emitted by instruments of different types and timbres. We like to think that Franco, Maico and Kristjan are a fusion of exceptional talent that will make IMPASTO a very special pizzeria!!!
